Congratulations to Ken Taylor

Winner of the 2023 Randolph A. Frank Prize

Masterworks Artistic Music Director recognized

It is with great excitement that we announce that our Masterworks Director, Ken Taylor, is the winner of the 2023 Randolph A. Frank Prize in the category of Performing Arts Educator. In addition to this outstanding recognition, he was awarded $10,000 in prize money during an official award ceremony in May. Mr. Taylor embodies the mission of this award, serving as a dedicated educator, who enriches the quality of the arts in Palm Beach County. He is in his 35th year of teaching music for the School District of Palm Beach County Schools and is currently serving in his 7th year as Director of Choral Studies at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts.

Mozart's Coronation Mass concert was a royal success. Many came dressed in their imperial best and a few fascinators could be seen in the audience. We even had our own Beefeater.  Next season marks our 45th anniversary of bringing quality choral music to the Palm Beaches. Watch this space for news about our  latest program plans.

Messiah- a compelling performance

Our concerts were a resounding success! The chorus was in top form at both concerts and received a standing ovation at the end of singing Handel's Messiah

The exalting cry of 'Hallelujah' brought the audience to their feet, while the four soloists sang so joyfully, accompanied by the talented live orchestra.  Another memorable performance season. For more photos of the concerts, check out our Facebook Page.

About us

The Masterworks Chorus was founded by Dr. Jack W. Jones in 1979 as a community chorus, dedicated to bringing audiences quality, classic and inspirational choral music. Our repertoire is carefully selected to educate, enrich and inspire members and audiences through performances of great choral masterworks. Our hope is that new generations will discover and embrace the life-changing music that has moved so many in the past, and grow to enjoy and perpetuate this music long into the future.
